Fratelli Seghesio - The story of a family coming together
It all began in 1988, when Aldo and Riccardo released the first bottle of Barolo under the Seghesio label. Today in the company next to Riccardo there are the nephews Michela, Sandro and Marco. Together they take care of all the facets of the business: in the vineyard from the pruning to picking, in the cellar from the winemaking to sales, in the office from the administration to promotion.

Fratelli Seghesio - The Estate
A typical Langa estate: family-run, small/medium-sized, strongly-attached to its roots.
Located in the heart of the Langhe, in Monforte d’Alba, on the eastern side of the village overlooking the hill of Serralunga.
The estate extends over 10 hectares of vineyards producing around 60,000 bottles a year of the great local reds: a fresh Dolcetto d’Alba, a characteristic Barbera d’Alba whose qualities are brought out to the full in the “La Chiesa” cru, a refined Langhe Nebbiolo and two versions of Castelletto’s Barolo: the “classic” with all its elegance and the most powerful and austere “La Villa”.

Fratelli Seghesio - Modern philosophy ingrained in tradition
The Seghesio philosophy is to craft wines that fully reflect the terroir and the grapes they are made from, producing the right mix between winemaking innovations and tradition, convinced as they are of the potential that – in its simplicity – this land is capable of offering.
Three varieties, seven ways to express the territory in the wine: farm Seghesio focuses on red, which embodies the territory of Barolo, and strongly believes in the majesty of Barolo, in the balance of Barbera, Dolcetto and freshness.

Tenute Toscana - and Bruna Barocini's journey in Sangiovese
Bruna Baroncini says that “dealing with Sangiovese is like dealing with a Man. He could also be a Woman, why not, but I imagine him as a Man. In Morellino it is a little boy, impetuous, a bit immature, curious. In Montepulciano it is a teenager, he is vivacious like a wild horse, he has all the possibilities in the world before him. In Chianti it is an adult, combining balance and strength, softness and persistence. In Brunello he becomes Sangiovese at its full maturity, both thunderous and firm, wise and self-confident, still with all the power of the best years. And then it has the potential for a very long life”.

Tenute Toscane - The story of a family tradition rooted deep in history
That’s why for Bruna Baroncini – a life in the world of wine – Sangiovese was the ideal traveling companion, moreover to her family, already accredited as a wine producer in the Liber Aetatum of 1489, historical archive of San Gimignano, the drink dear to Dionysus definitely runs through her veins. Bruna’s career begins right in the family estate, at Podere Torre Terza, where the family produced Vernaccia but already dreamed of Chianti Classico, the type that Bruna’s father considered the Lost Paradise. A special family, that of Bruna, where historically the women take care of the vineyards. As already, before her, grandmother Gina and mother Ilva again, and how (perhaps) it will be for little Bianca Apollonia, daughter of Samuele, the nephew, who has been working alongside her in the company for some years. Fatefully, the premature death of her father, in 1987, means for Bruna to give up on the dream of becoming a doctor but it makes her discover the vocation of a lifetime. Bruna knows that her father’s words were not arcane predictions, but clear visions: the treasure chest of wisdom that her family has always been chasing is placed in Sangiovese. In 1995 she acquired Il Faggeto, in Montepulciano, which was the first area where she began experimenting with the main vine variety of these lands. In 1997 it was the turn of the Maremma, in this case Magliano in Toscana, with the purchase of Fattoria Querciarossa, where the challenge of interpreting Sangiovese in all its nuances is embellished with sense. In 1998 it was the turn of the main stage, the highest ambition, that is Brunello, with the acquisition of Tenuta Poggio Il Castellare. Then, in 2003, the Baroncini family completes its range of Sangiovese products, at the same time realizing the visions of Bruna’s father, with the purchase of Tenuta Casuccio Tarletti, in Castelnuovo Berardenga, on the Chianti Classico side.

Sapateiro - A Passion for Wine
Sapateiro (shoeman) wine, a business much like ours that grew out of passion for wine. A shoe businessman decided to plant a small parcel of vines on his farm and when people were in the store, curious to taste his wines, asked if they could take a bottle with them. Before he noticed, word started to be passed around, and now people were going to the store to shop for his wines instead of his shoes.
Located in Tabuado, Marco de Canaveses, you can find the beautiful Wine Estate of 50 000 m2 that gives the name to the family produced wines Sapateiro.
Sapateiro Wines are a true reflection of the Vinho Verde DOC region with a dash of modernity.
